Labor and Delivery:


Located on the 5th floor of the hospital exclusively for labor and delivery, they have been designed for the comfort of the mother, with private rooms.


We know that one of the most beautiful and unforgettable moments that exists in the life of every woman and her family corresponds mainly to the birth of the baby. The mother will be carefully monitored by the specialized obstetrics nurses, and at the same time, they will provide guidance on the choice between a natural birth or one with an epidural block to control the intensity of the pain and thus enjoy the entire labor.


When the dilation is complete and ready for the baby to be born, the patient moves on to the next stage, the Expulsion Room: this is an aseptic, rounded-walled room with laminar flow and highly efficient filters to minimize contamination and infection for both mother and baby. The Expulsion Room is directly connected to the Operating Room in case of a Cesarean delivery. All this technology and multiple options allow you to personalize the delivery, making it the experience of your dreams.

If the mother wishes, she can see the birth of her child through a mirror and her husband can accompany her throughout the delivery, reaffirming once again the importance that Pacifica Salud gives to the family union. You will be given support and guidance on breathing and relaxation during the contractions in the active stage.


Neonatology:

After the delivery, the father, the baby and the pediatrician will go to the neonatal area, where the father will be able to see the baby while routine tests are performed. This process is exclusive to Pacifica Salud. 

Breastfeeding:

Immediately after delivery the mother can start breastfeeding, this is the first recognition of her and her baby.
